Dourdan's B.S. Statement

Gary DourdanStill too pissed off to speak with TMZ, Gary Dourdan's reps released (to another media outlet) a sorry excuse for an official explanation of Dourdan's vicious attack on a TMZ cameraman last night.

Despite video evidence of Dourdan beating and then chasing our photographer, the coward's people blamed TMZ, saying, "Gary has always been respectful of the media and the paparazzi but also values his privacy. It's our belief that this is a minor incident exaggerated by an eager paparazzo in order to create a story."

Sure, our photog was eager to have his head repeatedly slammed into the ground. Watch the video again -- it speaks for itself.

76. TMZ is being absolutely ridiculous and juvenile. Gary Dourdan strikes me as a decent fellow. In one of TMZ's own video clips, Gary asks numerous times for the photographer to turn off the video camera, and the pap says 'it's off' when clearly we can see - and presumably Gary could too - that it's still on. Keep going with this stupid character assassination non-story and I will certainly go elsewhere for my little hit of what's supposed to be 'fun' entertainment news. I don't want to be part of a system wherein people are constantly stalked - at a club or wherever - and badgered. This guy flies under the radar most of the time, seems a decent guy, and I don't blame him for getting tired of the B.S. As with any person, sometimes you just want to be left alone, go about your life and not have it be filled with shouts, flashbulbs and crazy crowds. Just because you are an actor, doesn't mean you give up your right to be treated with common courtesy and respect. And Mr. Dourdan doesn't seem to court attention like the many shallow little bimbos in H-wood. Keep your head up, Gary!

78. I saw Harvey Levin making out with Perez Hilton last night. I have a blurry video and then it goes black, but you can hear me saying that I am seeing Harvey with Perez.

79. So, Lady_Moxie, you say that Gary Dourdan strikes you "as a decent fellow" ...?

Hello!!!! He was convicted of assaulting his former real-life girlfriend (2005).

Is that what constitutes a real -- and decent -- man to you?

80. Who is this again? O well, I never did like Lenny Kravitz anyway

81. Sorry, TMZ, but I watched the entire thing, and it looks (and sounds) to me like the camera man got exactly what he deserved. Jeez, how many times does a person have to say, "Turn it off" before he is taken seriously.
TMZ: You asked for it, you got it. Stop whining.
Gary: Bravo to you for not letting it go.

82. good one investigative reporter. yeah as a woman I would have to agree that women beaters are some of the most "decent" people I know.
What the hell is with these freaks who think assaulting people is O.K.? I'll bet if it were their face getting smacked into the pavement they might sing a somewhat different tune.
Wonder how many other people this "decent" fellow has assaulted/battered?
I hope this photographer ends up with everything this loser owns.

83. Vicious attack? Beats the living crap? I don't see any evidence at all. Just a guy running and talking, and then no video. This story seems like B.S. to me.

85. to "investigative reporter" (mssg #75), maybe you should do a little more "investigating" so you get all the information..........Gary Dourdan was not "convicted" of anything.......he pleaded no contest and counter-sued the woman for stalking him (and he's not the first person she has accused of assault).
..........and it still doesn't have anything to do with the TMZ reporter refusing to turn off the camera, lying and saying the camera was off (when clearly it was recording), and so on.

If you are going to bring in extra information, at least make an attempt to get it right. And if you are going to force your cameras on people even after they tell you to leave them alone (like the TMZ reporter), you should ABSOLUTELY understand that an ass-kicking is a distinct possibility (even though there's no real evidence of that on the video that TMZ is characterizing as such).

Please give reference of a TMZ reporter being rude to anyone as in your statement.
Also Gary is not a " money shot " for any photog what so ever.
He should have just driven away and no one would have know who he was if a pic was posted!
instead of behaving like a coke head he should have used his head.
You post here cinderella making stupid Justifacations
on how you came to be here
( my mouse brought me here by mistake,I was forced here!). Your phony and full of pumpkin crap.

88. Its because of places like TMZ that these people have any career at all. If they don't like paperazzi taking their pictures then they shouldn't bother trying to be celebrities.

89. This is the most obsurd thing I have seen TMZ post, It makes me seriously reconsider wanting to check into your site regularly. That was SO completely way out of line for your 'guy' to do- and then to blow it so completely out of preportion was simply unjust with that footage provided the story is stupid. Gary seems like a nice guy, when you leave him alone and don't stuff everything you have in his face- what person can handle that over the top stalker like behaviour- that is not getting a story.. You should respect people more - you have become quite loathesome of late. I used to enjoy the real behind the scenes stuff you did, like Mel Gibson. Gary was just trying to have a night out without your guy in his face, I find it atrocious on TMZ's behalf frankly. Now you have become as low as the people you try to frame in the 'lowness' Bad move. I don't want to tune in anymore and I hope others will agree and follow suit until TMZ shapes up and gives something more than manipulation of stars to get their site hits. You lost a dedicated customer this time.
I say GO GARY myself.

90. um excuse me but on planet EARTH a no-contest plea is the same as a conviction. It's on his record as such. Nice try, but everyone knows the truth about someone who attempts to proclaim innocence by using the no-contest trick. But hey, let's try to make it the woman's fault, right? After all, she must have asked for it just like the photographer. Gary is about to lengthen his criminal record, and the civil judgment should be a real hoot.
